Celebrate New Years Eve at the swankest new restaurant in New York Amalia. Restaurateur Greg Brier brings style and sophistication to new heights with the opening of Amalia adjacent to hotelier Vikram Chatwalâ's Dream Hotel on West 55th Street. Now approaching its sixth month of service, Amalia was named by Conde Nast Traveler among the most notable restaurant openings in the world and has been featured in countless food and lifestyle publications including:
  • Food and Wine
  • The New York Times
  • Elle
  • Wall Paper
  • New York Post
  • Crain
  • Forbes Chef Ivy Stark has created an inventive, eclectic, Mediterranean-American menu for this decadent 7,000-square-foot property, comprised of intimate and richly textured enclaves evocative of a Baroque-inspired European palace. Amalia is the artistic vision of Chris Sheffield and Steve Lewis of SL Design (Aspen, Marquee, Butter), layering custom hand-painted wall coverings, fabrics and ornate fixtures with striking architectural elements such as exposed structural beams encased in glass, leather clad barrel vaulted ceilings and existing brick and stone wall surfaces. Amalia benefits from the perfect location in Manhattan, within proximity of Central Park, the Time Warner Center, and Times Square.  The former carriage house provides an ambience that leaves you with your jaws dropped; its old world baroque meets downtown New York.  With its unique wallpaper blend, and black Murano glass chandeliers contrasting the granite archway and distressed brick walls, Amalia has created a Utopia for New York's nightlife goers to bask in.
