New Years Eve 2006 at La Prima Donna in New York

La Prima Donna’s warm décor is inspired by the Venetian Carnival. Masks and photographs of famous women incognito are displayed throughout the restaurant. The front bar lounge area has dark mahogany wood walls punctuated with red tables and seats and a soft glow from the orange lanterns that hang over the bar. Walk a little further into the main dining area where a palette of pale ivory, cinnabar red, with beige and gold accents create an elegant environment and a perfect backdrop to the rich colors of the decorative blown glass on display from the Italian island of Murano, and the red coral Venetian glass chandeliers. For private parties, the main dining room can be partitioned into two separate spaces. One side accommodating up to 60 guests, the other side can seat up to 100 people. Off the main dining room, romantic duos can nab a table in the low-lit La Stanza Venezia (the Venetian Room) where walls are lined with photographs of Venice. It seats up to 8 people. Celebrate the New Year in a great ambience and watch live coverage of the Ball Drop. A special New Year's Prix Fixe menu will be featured along with a Champagne toast at midnight.
